Things you should know about your treatment…
Dr. Buccino combines chiropractic adjustments with soft tissue techniques to aid in the treatment of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
Patients are often treated during function, not simply in the static posture. This allows the provocation of pain or restriction to be easily identified, and doctor and patient can work through the motion of the injury, while utilizing the kinetic chain during treatment. Treatment often includes one or more of the following: Instrument Assisted Techniques, myofascial release techniques, cross-frictional massage, PIR/PFS stretching, and kinesiology taping.
Kinesiology taping works with the body to allow full range of motion while assisting and giving support to the muscle. It also helps increase circulation and stimulates nerve endings. There is no latex, and the tape is water resistant. SPRT (Specific Proprioceptive Response Taping) helps retrain the muscular motion patterns along with a supportive and neurosensory component.
Each patient will also have at-home rehab exercises to further continue the progression of tissue healing.
Bio-Freeze is a pain-relieving gel whose natural ingredient is Menthol, and greatly aids in sore muscles, arthritic and joint pain.
Prossage is a natural warming ointment to enhance deep soft tissue modification.
